Headteacher's Welcome

My name is Mrs Harvey and I am the Headteacher at Kates Hill Community Primary School. I feel privileged to be part of our school community and I am delighted to welcome you to our school website, which includes direct links to the LLMAT website. We hope that you find the information useful.

Kates Hill is a truly amazing school. The children are fantastic, the staff and governors are dedicated and I am fortunate to be supported by an excellent community who care passionately about the school, including the shared ambition of the Learning Link Trust.

My priority as Headteacher is to ensure that Kates Hill has access to a rich, relevant curriculum which will motivate and prepare pupils for life, providing a high quality, holistic education for all. My aim is to nurture aspirations, raise standards, provide a learning environment where children can thrive and to build an excellent team to work alongside me. I want pupils to achieve at all levels and raise educational outcomes for all. It is vital that we work with acceleration and efficiency in striving for the best, whilst ensuring accountability.

The advantages of forming the LLMAT are endless. We have more collaboration and togetherness and are giving greater opportunities for our pupils, whilst retaining autonomy.

Being a parent myself, I fully appreciate how important school is towards preparing children for life. I am passionate about teaching and have high expectations. I will strive to ensure that Kates Hill supports children to be whole, rounded individuals and endeavour to give your child the best chance to discover and unlock their hidden talents.

At Kates Hill, you will see a real focus on core values through a values based education. These values of: honesty, responsibility, respect, self-belief, perseverance and happiness permeate throughout everything we do. They help to spread positivity and allow children to make appropriate choices to prepare them for the wider world. We know how vital working in partnership with parents is and therefore, please do not hesitate to approach me if you have any issues.

I am very happy to be here and I look forward to my new adventures, working closely with you in the years ahead.

Thank you,

Mrs Harvey
